Summary:

The Division of Program Development and Management seeks an innovative change agent to join the Bureau of Heath Access, Policy and Innovation.  The candidate will assist with oversight of programs and enhancement of policies that impact the health of Medicaid members. The Medicaid program advisor will oversee activities related to the Medicaid Evidence-Based Benefit Review Advisory Committee (EBBRAC) as well as manage, and direct contract activities with the EBBRAC facilitator.  The Medicaid program advisor will coordinate related meetings and communicate directly with internal and external stakeholders related to EBBRAC. Additionally, the Medicaid program advisor will aid in the process related to Medicaid’s clinical trials coverage as well as telehealth initiatives and associated ad hoc projects.

 

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 8 years of professional experience

 

Ideally, the candidate will have:

  • Healthcare experience in program policy, Medicaid and Medicare
  • Strong writing and communication skills for diverse materials and audiences required
  • Master’s degree in the health field, public policy or administration preferred
  • Familiarity/experience with scientific research literature and data analysis
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel and PowerPoint required
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in team/matrix environment
  • Willingness to travel to Albany and other parts of the state as needed
