Healthcare Program Associate - Albany, NY

 

Summary:

 

The Healthcare Program Associate will work within the Division of Eligibility and Marketplace Integration’s (DEMI) Bureau of Community Enrollment and Eligibility Processing.  Duties may include, but not limited to, the following:

  • Provide program support to ensure compliance with State and Federal regulations.
  • Assist with the transition of program operations from the local social services districts to NY State of Health.
  • Provide technical assistance to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Assist with research, analysis and tracking activities in support of bureau, Division, and Department goals and objectives.

 

 

 

 

 

Minimum Qualifications:

 

  • Two years’ experience in healthcare field required, or
  • An Associate degree in a related field may be substituted for the two (2) years of experience.

 

Basic Qualifications: 

 

Preferred candidates will have experience in public health insurance programs, including New York's Medicaid and/or Medicare. Preferred candidates will also have excellent oral and written communication skills; strong analytical skills and attention to detail; proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access); the ability to work well independently and as part of a team and to manage multiple priorities in order to meet deadlines; and experience using electronic data systems.
